  • Back to Fun Fun Fun Fest in time for Rollins’ comedy set.
  • SLAYER
  • Pleasant bike ride home in time to catch the crucial last five minutes of the Steelers/Ravens game.

Strong candidate for Best Day Of The Year.

To men, the bicycle in the beginning was merely a new toy, another machine added to the long list of devices they knew in their work and play. To women, it was a steed upon which they rode into a new world.

— Munsey’s Magazine, 1896, as recounted in this write-up on the book Wheels Of Change on The Atlantic.

This is pretty much the role that bikes play in my household. I ride mine for fun, exercise, to beat that miserable Austin traffic during busy times, and to save on gas. Kat, who doesn’t drive, uses hers to do basically everything in her life that requires leaving the house without being dependent on me driving her around or Austin’s dubious public transportation.
