Found in the “Other Messages” section of Facebook.

So, y’all know how some Facebook messages, for reasons that have to do with algorithms or Mark Zuckerberg’s portrayal in The Social Network or something, do not appear in your inbox, and you can only see them if you click “messages” on the left navigation bar on the site, and then “other,” which will appear underneath it once you’ve done so? I always forget about those, and sometimes strangers have left me messages. Here is one:

Hey Dan. Saw that sxsw article ya did. The photo was of some punk in front of an upside American flag. Man I sure hope that we havent sold out and invited that to our great city/festival. I served my country and defended that flag for 9 yrs in the United States Marine Corps.
Everyone gets pissed when foreigners discrace our flag and all it stands for.
It sickens me to that in our own country.
Just thought I’d point that out. I know you didnt do it, your a writer and obviously can grab the eyes and ears of a lot of folks…

I have no idea what article he is referring to, but I think he is unclear on what an upside-down American flag represents.
