Because taking Ron Paul supporters seriously isn’t hard enough when they’re not demonstrating exactly how silly they are by turning their RƎVO˩UTION placards into cosplay gear. The snarl on the kid in the middle’s face is priceless, though. And I have to admit that I’m impressed that, even as he’s standing next to three goofballs in homemade Ron Paul helmets and capes, the guy on the left looks no less ridiculous thanks to his hat and Mike Huckabee t-shirt.

Speaking of cosplay, this is the groom placing the ring on the finger of the bride at a wedding. On Endor. Or in Western Washington, maybe. It doesn’t matter. I don’t tend to make fun of cosplayers because, you know, fish in a barrel, and they tend to be self-aware enough to recognize their own silliness, so what’s the point? I will say that it’s a very unique bride who is comfortable being the least attention-grabbing figure in the ceremony, so points for that. I wonder if Slave Girl Leia wore that outfit instead of the cinnamon buns Leia costume because she thought it would be in poor taste to wear white. Either way, I wish these kids all the best, but really have to wonder what the hell the grandparents thought when they saw the dashing groom in a rubber mask throughout the entire ceremony. Finally, I think the biggest question here is, on the one day on which everyone agrees you’re the main attraction and center of attention, who chooses to be c-list side characters? Who thinks of himself as more an Admiral Ackbar-type than a Han Solo?
