[cheating]

January 29th, 2008 · No Comments

I promised three good updates a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays, but this one will be crappy. I am out of words. They are all gone. I typed them all already.

I broke 100,000 words tonight in weathered. I’ve never come anywhere close to writing anything this long. poplife was just under 75,000. I’m not sure if I finished the penultimate chapter- not sure if it’s finished and not sure if the next one will really be the final one- but either way, the end is legitimately in sight now. Within a week, I suspect.

Because of all of this, today was exhausting despite having hardly left this chair. I read the news a bit- my man Obama picked up the Ted Kennedy endorsement, which is significant because of how actively the Clinton campaign is working to paint it as insignificant, and started to follow the case of anonymous v the Church of Scientology, which shapes up to be interesting, and about which I’ll likely write more soon. These are the things you do when you spend sixteen hours in a chair, except for when you get up to buy groceries and cook some food.

I’ll have more thoughts later. In the meantime, I’m a little bit surprised that I still have these sixteen hour days in me, and relieved. It had been a while.

Oh, and to make this a bit more interactive- please post links to flickr accounts, if you have one of your own, or if you have some that you look at. As I’m winding down this project, I’m ready to finally start thinking about some new things, and I’d like to have some new pictures of the world to get me started.
